Outdoor Yarn Mural at Cabbage Patch Community Garden

Help us expand Lancaster City’s FIRST Fence Mural made entirely out of YARN!

In Fall of 2025, dozens of our community members donated crocheted and knitted wares to create a colorful mural of flowers and giant veggies that dance along the outside fence of our new Community Education Garden! The goal is to grow this yarn mural (just like the garden growing inside) until it reaches around the entire fence!

We are looking for crocheters and knitters to make granny squares and/or flowers of different colors, shapes and sizes (find different pattern ideas here: knitting, crocheting and please make flowers at least 6 inches – but not bigger is better)!

Drop off finished granny squares or crocheted/knitted flowers to the SoWe office anytime and they will be added to the mural intermittently

Running low on your yarn supply? We’ve got you covered! We have a large supply at the office in many different colors – so email Jacquie Morges at Jacquie@Wearetenfold.org to schedule a time for pickup!

Don’t know how to knit or crochet but you’ve always wanted to learn? Join one of Handwork House’s workshops with Sarah, she’s the mastermind behind the adorable giant veggies and our partner for this mural! You’ll be a pro in no time!
